We also chose an external party component to help building
the user interface of the interactive reports: Dundas OLAP.
Architecture overview
Architecture of the system is organized following the main activities that have to be made by the KB/MB as are enumerated:
Import data in the CSV file format from different systems
to the staging area database
Clean, transform and import data form SA database to
DW database
Supply the data in the proper format to the cubes
Cube designing, building, processing
Reporting (predefined and ad hoc)
Cube browsing (predefined and ad hoc)
